The complete demolition operation took five months. This included releasing asbestos from the inside and outside of the building. It was known that there was a great deal of asbestos and heavy concrete structures. That has been safely removed and disposed. It was done in accordance with the procedures according to asbestos process certifications and SVMS.

This also included the complete stripping and the removal of frames, floors and ceilings. This was done by means of a Bobcat skid-steer loader and the deployment of our team of hand runners, controlled by the foreman. Van Vliet Demolition also cleared the site of greenery.

Subsequently, our demolition cranes got to work. Part of the building has been left standing for as long as possible to serve as a noise barrier for the residents of the high-rise.

To guarantee safety and limit nuisance, we have pre-recorded the surroundings, installed vibration meters and installed temporary low-noise electricity facilities.
