We recently finished a project at one of our blue chip clients in Belgium. The biggest challenge in this project was the timeframe, but due to the teams’ excellent performance, working continuously day, night and weekend shifts, Van Vliet Demolition met its project targets and delivered the project to the client ahead of schedule and within budget.
Part of this project involved the demolition of a vessel weighing 142T, which we dismantled by a bottom-top approach using a 4-point jacking system in order to avoid roof work and cranage. It included the provision of detailed engineering, structural analysis and custom-built jack supports/welding.
Our scope furthermore covered multiple installations throughout the building, asbestos removal and site clearance by means of multiple excavators, bobcats, cutting equipment and demolition tools, all provided in-house.
Many thanks to all involved who made this project a success!
The spring edition of Kijk op het Noorden magazine recently included an article explaining the importance of close cooperation and safe working practices during the dismantling of the NAM production sites.
